These cakes are great for your holiday parties!

The Turkey Cake

This is one of two cakes I made for my family's Thanksgiving dinner table. I learned how to make this cake while working at Heaven Scent Pastries in Forest Hills. It's a yellow cake with chocolate buttercream feathers. The head is fondant. The tailfeathers are made from white buttercream on a cake board. I'd like to look into more edible alternatives for the tail feathers.

The Corn on the Cob

This is the other cake I made for my family's Thanksgiving. Underneith the corn on the cob exterior is a walnut pumpkin role with a thick cream cheese icing filling. The outside is also cream cheese icing and the kernals are candy corn! The stalks are made from thinly roled green fondant.

The Cornucopia Cake

I just made this cake for my mom's friend's 60th birthday. It's a double layer carrot cake with a cream cheese icing. The leaf boarder and everything on top are all made from fondant. The cornucopia is hollow and overflowing with all sorts of fall treats. There are two pumpkins, two apples, two carrots, two squash and grapes everywhere.

This cake is great for Thanksgiving dinner!

The Jack-O-Lantern

This was made for a friends Halloween party. It's half yellow cake and half chocolate. The icing is buttercream and the embellishments are fondant.

The Present Cake

This was my very first fondant cake. It covers the basics of covering a cake and sculpting with fondant. This is a 8 inch round yellow cake with a layer of white fondant on top. The ribbon and bow are strips of green fondant, as are the little curlys. The flower embellishments are white fondant with little candy wafers in the center.

This cake is great for birthdays and Christmas parties!
