Tiered Cakes!
These cakes are multiple layers and have a hint of a wedding cake idea to them.

Candyland Cake
This cake was made for Pittsburgh Steeler Ryan Clark. It was his daughter Loghan's 6th birthday and I was totally stoked to tackle this idea. This is a 6 inch on a 10 inch on a 14 inch cake. Everything is fondant from the towers to the gingerbread men to the lollipops. It was tons of fun to play with and try new techniques with. This cake took 14 hours.

Construction Cake
This cake was also made for Pittsburgh Steeler James Harrison. It was his son James' 3rd birthday and I had the honor to make his cake. This is a dump truck on a 12 inch round on a 16 inch round (that was one heavy cake!). The left side shows you city roads with traffic signs and hot wheels cars. The right side is a construction site with dirt roads, construction signs and all sorts of fun construction vehicles. This cake took about 16 hours to make.

Sweet 16 Cake
This cake was made for Avery's Sweet 16 birthday party. She lives down in North Carolina but came up to see her to see her favorite hockey team play. Her dad and I designed this cake for her to celebrate her special day!

Autism Awareness Cake
This cake was made for a Autism Awareness benefit held down town. It incorporates their logo and slogan. The puzzle piece children are climbing up the cake and then blossoming into butterflies.

Sweet 16 Cake
This cake was made for Lucy's Sweet 16 birthday party. Her mom asked for an Ace of Cakes style black and hot pink tiered cake and this is what I created. The top and bottom layer are yellow cake while the middle layer is Devil's Food cake. The whole cake is covered in fondant with a layer of white buttercream underneath and in between the layers. The 16 is also made out of fondant. I really enjoyed making this cake!

The Tiered Paisley Cake
This cake was made for my mom's best friend and my second mom. It's a three tiered gluten free cake! The yellow icing is a rich coconut flavored icing while the purple flowers are a white buttercream. The happy birthday is written on a piece of fondant.
The Roaring 20's Cake
This cake was made for my friends Roaring 20's party. I decided to go with a gambling theme. The cakes are two stacked yellow 6 inch rounds and two stacked 10 inch rounds. Each cake has been cut into a hexagonal shape. The 6 inch cakes are entirely covered in white fondant. The 10 inch round have a black chocolate buttercream icing base with the white fondant cut and draped over it. The poker chips are also made out of fondant. On either side of the 6 inch cake is a royal flush out of actual playing cards. The rest of the deck is scattered underneath the cake. The dice are chunks of fondant with buttercream embellishments. And the pièce de résistance, a huge red ostrich feather sticking out the top!
The Morbid Wedding Cake
This cake was made for my friend Jeremiah's big Halloween party. It is a two tiered red velvet cake (it was a great contrast against the black and white when it was cut). The top tier is a double layer 6 inch round and the bottom tier is a double layer 10 inch round. Both layers are covered in fondant. The ruffle trim is white buttercream and the black shell boarder is chocolate buttercream. The black roses are also made of fondant. Their shade actually varies as it cascades. Fondant roses are a serious pain in the ass to make but they're kinda rewarding to look at when you're finished. I really like the way this one turned out.
